The Patient First Coalition Medical Cannabis Committee supported by the American Council of Cannabis Medicine was built to help support the responsible transition of medical cannabis from Schedule I to Schedule III and to assist in shaping a modern, patient-centered national framework for implementation. Through the collaboration of healthcare leaders, patient advocates, insurers, compliance experts, technology innovators, pharmacy and dispensary professionals, and industry stakeholders, the Committee has developed recommendations designed to support public safety, medical integrity, responsible oversight, and long-term sustainability. We encourage policymakers, regulators, media, and stakeholders to review the expert public statements and testimony documents below, which were prepared to help guide thoughtful discussion and informed decision-making during this historic transition.
