Yes We Cann! is the advocacy initiative of the American Society of Cannabis Medicine, ACCM is founded as a working group in 2016, and a developed into the leading voice for medical cannabis in the United States and is a tax-exempt Washington, D.C. non-profit corporation organized under §501(c)(4) of the IRS code. It has been a pioneer in innovative approach to advocating for medical cannabis, through its publications, public education programs and legislative work. Donations to ACCM are not tax-deductible.
In addition to the ACCM Citizen Advocates programs, Yes We Cann! hosts or co-sponsors a number of free grassroots seminars and meetings. These include the annual Medical Cannabis Policy Conference (MCPC). At MCPC, legislative and agency actions for the upcoming year and strategies discussed for the next year by leaders of national, state and local ACCM organizations. Yes We Cann! also sponsors—in cooperation with ACCM, and other organizations—state and regional training for grassroots activists.
The ACCM and Yes We Cann! regularly distributes articles, position papers, research reports and commentaries to the general media, and ACCM staff participates annually 100's radio and television appearances and newspaper and magazine interviews on behalf of Medical Cannabis. Our board and experts appear on podcasts, radio and television shows each year, including national network programs, and feature and opinion articles have appeared frequently in many publications. ACCM will also start making investments in media properties as an extension of our programming in late 2021.
Yes We Cann! And ACCM disseminates information and media packets to public, media, communities and legislators answering medical cannabis-related questions and has a robust resource program that places pro-medical cannabis reference materials in the hands of state groups. ACCM further serves as a resource for academia, newspaper and magazine articles and television and radio programs dealing with various aspects of medical cannabis.
The Yes We Cann! initiative works hand in hand with ACCM's Elevated States program. Yes We Cann! woks with all patient and pubic advocates for Elevated States.
Yes We Cann! is building a national army of advocates who believe that medical cannabis should be treated like any other medicine. Our advocates will help fight for a change in the federal status that allows for real clinical research and increased access that leads to maximizing the incredible potential of this amazing plant and therapies.
Yes We Cann! is working in all states in conjunction with other ACCM outreach programs. Yes We Cann! is building of a national grassroots advocacy army that reaches deep into every state.
